On February 19, 2019, the Gulfport Police department arrested 21 year old Nigel Jamal Saunders of Biloxi, charging him with three counts of Burglary of a Vehicle. At approximately 2:22 am February 19, 2019, officers were patrolling the area of East Taylor Road and Channelside Drive when they noticed a black Buick Regal parked in the roadway. Officers made contact with the driver identified as Nigel Saunders.
During the course of the investigation, it was learned that Saunders had burglarized several vehicles in the area. Saunders was found to be in possession of items taken from the vehicles. Detectives met with Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner who issued the arrest warrant for Saunders. Saunders was later transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center with a bond set at $15,000.00 per charge for a total bond of $45,000.00.
