On September 26, 2018 at approximately 4:30 pm the Gulfport Police Department responded to the 3000 block of 57th Avenue in reference to a shooting. The victim, a 22 year old black male (identity withheld pending proper family notification), was located on 57th Avenue, suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim succumbed to his injuries while on scene. Gulfport Police Crime Scene, Harrison County Coroner’s Office, and Detective Units responded to process the scene.
This investigation is ongoing. There are no arrests at this time.
