On Saturday July 27, 2019, the Gulfport Police Department arrested Wanted Fugitive, Tekoney Oronte Treyvon Blackledge of Katy Texas, in the 3100 block of 8th Avenue Gulfport. Blackledge was identified as a suspect in the killing of a 62 year old female in Houston Texas on July 16, 2019. Blackledge fled the area and was believed to have traveled to the City of Gulfport. At approximately 1:38 pm, July 27, 2019. Gulfport Police Officer’s traveled to an apartment complex, in the 3100 block of 8th Avenue, to conduct a follow-up investigation into the whereabouts of murder suspect Tekoney Blackledge. Blackledge was located inside an apartment within the complex and was taken into custody without incident.
